With “Take it Out On My Guitar,” Bella turns heartache into fuel, pouring every ounce of hurt and fire into a song that hits just as hard as the heartbreak. With nods to country heavyweights – Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert, and The Chicks – she proves that sometimes the best revenge isn’t a dramatic scene—it’s a melody he can’t escape.

“Take It Out On My Guitar” was co-written by Lam alongside Lauren McLamb (Dierks Bentley, Josh Ross, Dylan Marlowe) and Chris Rafetto (Eddie Montgomery, Emmy Russell, and Kelsey Lamb), and Produced by Matthew Morrisey.

Bella shared, “Take It Out On My Guitar was a concept that I came up with after listening to “Lover” by Taylor Swift. Her lyric “with every guitar string scar on my hand” was the inspiration for the title and theme of the song. I wanted to take that, and make an anthem for all the bad-ass country girls.”

Born in Nashville and raised in West Tennessee, the 23-year-old songwriter and multi-instrumentalist is already building a resume that matches her ambition. She’s performed at the legendary Bluebird Cafe, continues to grow a fast-rising fanbase online, and spends most weekends on the road fronting Bella Lam and The Boys, all while completing her music degree at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga.

One of just a few songwriters of Asian descent in country music, Lam’s musical roots were nurtured early on by her grandfather—an immigrant from China who encouraged his grandchildren to learn instruments, instilling a lifelong passion that now fuels her bold sound.

Lam’s journey to the stage hasn’t been easy—it’s been shaped by resilience and determination. Born prematurely, Bella faced significant medical challenges at birth, including collapsed lungs that left her struggling to breathe. She later underwent years of occupational and speech therapy to overcome a severe lisp and fine motor difficulties—obstacles that once made a career in music feel out of reach.

“What I’m doing now used to be an impossible dream,” Lam says. “I couldn’t be more grateful.”

NORA. shared, "This song is about returning to my hometown and slipping back into an older version of myself — one that I had outgrown. I realized just how much I evolved, and how little had changed around there. It was a strange feeling... and a bit isolating, but also freeing.”

Set to a nostalgic, synth-driven backdrop that nods to the cinematic pop of the 1980s, the song was inspired by a trip back home after time spent in Nashville and after graduating college. As she revisits the people, places, and past versions of herself that shaped her —from childhood friends to the quiet familiarity of her old bedroom—NORA. reflects on what she’s outgrown and what still remains. With a clearer, more seasoned perspective, she details the emotional shift between who she once was and who she’s becoming.

“Since I’ve Been Gone.” offers a glimpse of her forthcoming debut EP JUST WORDS., a collection of songs born from a period of self-discovery and growth. Originally from Harrisburg, PA, NORA.’s love for music and songwriting eventually led her to Belmont University in Nashville. It was there, nestled deep in the heart of Music City, that her songwriting bloomed. She began playing more guitar. She began creating new music, taking inspiration not only from her daily conversations with her roommates – brother Nicholas and cousin Ben – but from eclectic artists and influences including Olivia Dean, Kasey Musgraves, and Gracie Abrams, too.

After graduating college, she left the security of a 9-to-5 job to fully embrace the uncertainty of pursuing her own creative path. Directed by Karl Weidmann and Vaughn, the music video shares Vaughn’s remarkable journey as an artist, father, and veteran overcoming homelessness, choosing sobriety, and re-discovering his faith. In the music video, Vaughn returns to Matthew 25 – the Nashville nonprofit that helped him overcome homelessness.

In an Instagram post, Vaughn shared, “When I moved to town, I was homeless for 16 weeks…Matthew 25 took me in and helped me get on my feet. If it wasn’t for God working through them, I wouldn’t be where I am today.”

Matthew 25’s Rev. Jedediah Hanes, Director of Operations added, “We are incredibly proud to collaborate with Romeo Vaughn. Vaughn has previously collaborated with Songwriter Jason Nix (Lainey Wilson, Luke Grimes, Keb’ Mo’) with his previously-released single “Over,” about his struggles with alcohol addiction. “Big Dreams From A Small Town” follows Vaughn’s previously released single “Over” co-written with Jason Nix (Lainey Wilson & Luke Grimes, Keb’ Mo’), “Doin’ My Thing”, co-written with Brandon Hartt, and fan favorite Cowboy In The Boots ft. DJ Kane - the former lead singer of Grammy-winning band Kumbia Kings (A.B. Quintanilla’s band - the brother of the late "Queen of Tejano” Selena).

On August 26th, Vaughn will release a new music video for the single (additional details tba).

Hailed as an “artist to watch” (World Of Country) and a “breath of fresh air” (We Write About Music) Vaughn’s infectious blend of Country, R&B and Latin Pop has captivated audiences with a unique mix of urban sounds and rural authenticity, making him a unique addition to the Country music landscape. His music, accentuated by a deep baritone voice and a laid back conversational tone exudes a steady genuine charm echoing that of artists like George Strait. Writing deeply personal music, Vaughn weaves in personal stories of faith, family and love, all parallel themes found in both Country music and Mexican regional and Tejano music.

After serving in the U.S. Army, the Texas native and singer-songwriter immersed himself in the fashion, music, culture, and lifestyle of Nashville and New York living and performing in both cities, where he sharpened his musical toolkit. In 2016, he relocated permanently to Nashville, facing homelessness for 16 weeks while working at restaurants before finding support through the VA and nonprofit organization Matthew 25. Shortly thereafter, he began struggling with alcohol addiction, ultimately putting his musical career on hold and returning to Texas. Recommitting to his faith, family and pursuing sobriety, Romeo eventually returned to Nashville.

Vaughn continues to release new music and is actively involved with Nashville-based nonprofit Matthew 25, a residential facility that provides Housing, Help and Hope to homeless men in need.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — (July 30, 2025) — Mexican-American Country music artist and Military veteran Romeo Vaughn is set to release his deeply personal new single, “Big Dreams From A Small Town,” on August 15th. The song will be accompanied by a music video that shines a light on veteran homelessness—an issue deeply personal to the artist.

The music video is in collaboration with Matthew 25, the Nashville-based, Christian nonprofit organization dedicated to helping homeless veterans in need and highlights the power of housing, hope and second chances. The video shares Romeo’s remarkable journey as an artist, father, and veteran overcoming homelessness, choosing sobriety, and re-discovering his faith.

Romeo recently shared a teaser of his new music video via Instagram (HERE) saying, “When I moved to town, I was homeless for 16 weeks…They took me in and helped me get on my feet. If it wasn’t for God working through them, I wouldn’t be where I am today.” 

Matthew 25’s Rev. Jedediah Hanes, Director of Operations adds, “We are incredibly proud to collaborate with Romeo Vaughn. His personal story of transformation and resilience embodies the very spirit of Matthew 25. The video shows that with the right support, there is hope that anyone can turn their life around. (July 15, 2025) - Nashville-based music software company KIT Plugins is partnering with Norman Petty Studios of Clovis, New Mexico to preserve the iconic sounds of the legendary recording studio, the birthplace of Buddy Holly’s signature sound. Considered to be the most well-preserved vintage recording studio in the world, KIT is the first company to enter into a long-term, exclusive collaboration with Norman Petty Studios.

As the developer of some of the industry’s best sounding plugins, KIT is developing a line of plugins modeled after the historic analog gear used by Pioneering Producer/Musician Norman Petty, which has largely remained untouched since 1969.

By preserving the Norman Petty Studio and adapting its historic sound for modern digital tools, KIT Plugins allows this significant chapter in music history to continue inspiring future generations of artists and engineers.

Nearly all of Buddy Holly’s groundbreaking hits were recorded in the Clovis, New Mexico studio, alongside other iconic artists such as Roy Orbison, Buddy Knox and Waylon Jennings. Even decades after Petty’s passing, the studio continued to attract talent, with LeAnn Rimes recording her hit “Blue” in Norman's second studio in the early 1990s.

The Norman Petty Recording Studio stands as a living relic of the 1950s and 60s rock ‘n’ roll. Stepping inside is like walking into a time capsule, visitors are greeted with a museum-like experience, passing through the 1950s apartment Norman built for artists like Holly and the Crickets to stay in while recording there.  The journey continues down narrow hallways leading to the heart of the studio, where original instruments such as the celeste from Buddy Holly’s “Everyday” and the Solovox organ used on the Fireballs’ 1963 number one hit “Sugar Shack” remain in their exact places, as if waiting for the next session.

The control room still hums with the creative energy of Petty’s genius. In the studio, Petty's custom-built console, a fusion of three heavily modified Altec 1567a mixers and units from Pultec, Ampex, and Fairchild, allowed him to push the boundaries of sound even further.

The original Altec speakers, still suspended from the ceiling, continue to offer a glimpse into the magic of those iconic recordings. One of Norman’s earliest innovations was the custom reverb chamber he built in the mid-1950s, hidden in the rafters of his father’s auto shop next door. The chamber, which was later tiled by Buddy Holly’s family, was a key element in creating the signature reverb-laden sound that defined so much of Holly's music.

Working with Celebrity Fashion Designer Manuel (known for outfitting Johnny Cash and Elvis), Romeo began designing and sewing his own clothes, developing a unique personal style.

Nashville, TN (April 7, 2025) - Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar celebrated the grand opening of their new location in downtown Nashville, just steps away from Broadway (152 2nd Ave N.) on Friday night (4/4). Bringing an unforgettable blend of live music, and high-energy performances, dueling pianists took the stage to perform crowd favorite songs from every music era and genre. The wall-to-wall audience was encouraged to request songs, join in on the fun, and be a part of the show in an atmosphere that combined live music, humor, and non-stop excitement.

Kicking off the evening’s festivities, the community gathered together for a special ribbon cutting ceremony, marking the official opening of the company’s sixth location across the country. The evening was filled with excitement as the local community gathered to experience the new space, live music, and signature cocktails. 

Amplified Hospitality Group’s Austin Walter, Partner in Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar, addressed the crowd, expressing gratitude for the local community and sharing the rich history behind the iconic dueling piano tradition.

Folk Singer-Songwriter Lee DeWyze Shines at the Digital Launch Party of A Complete Unknown, the Critically-Acclaimed Bob Dylan Biopic From Searchlight Pictures

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 21, 2025) - Lee DeWyze, one of Americana and folk music’s most-talked about singer-songwriters, gave a special performance during the launch party for the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown, celebrating the films’ upcoming digital release. A longtime Dylan fan, DeWyze performed “Blowin’ In The Wind,” “Make You Feel My Love” and songs from his critically-acclaimed #1 album Gone For Days at the Sunset Marquis in West Hollywood. The special performance followed Lee’s recent national TV performance of his single “Devil In The Details” on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” (Watch HERE).
