NASHVILLE, TN (Feb. 13, 2026) - Asian American country artist Bella Lam’s new single, “Take It Out On My Guitar,” is out today. With more than 60,000 followers on TikTok, Lam has cultivated a loyal and steadily growing audience, fueled by her candid storytelling and her viral “Write It, Don’t Text It” series, with her following jumping from 47,000 to over 60,000 in just four weeks. Named in Holler.’s 10 Artists You Need To Know, “Take It Out On My Guitar” has already been featured in New Scene Magazine, Guitar Girl Magazine, The Pop Break, and more. “Take It Out On My Guitar” is available on all digital streaming platforms here: https://unitedmasters.com/m/take-it-out-on-my-guitar
“I’ve always been pretty non-confrontational,” Bella shares. “So instead of saying everything that I’m feeling in the moment, I tend to bottle it up and pour it into my songwriting. ‘Take It Out On My Guitar’ is really about choosing that path. Sure, I could go full Carrie Underwood on someone’s car — but I’d much rather channel that energy into a kick-ass song.”
With “Take it Out On My Guitar,” Bella turns heartache into fuel, pouring every ounce of hurt and fire into a song that hits just as hard as the heartbreak. With nods to country heavyweights like Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert, and The Chicks, she proves that sometimes the best revenge isn’t a dramatic scene—it’s a melody he can’t escape.
“Take It Out On My Guitar” was co-written by Lam alongside Lauren McLamb (Dierks Bentley, Josh Ross, Dylan Marlowe) and Chris Rafetto (Eddie Montgomery, Emmy Russell, and Kelsey Lamb), and produced by Matthew Morrisey.
The single follows weeks of fan engagement through Lam’s interactive “Write It, Don’t Text It” TikTok series, a breakup hotline where listeners share the messages they wish they could send to their exes. The confessional series has drawn fans nationwide and continues with new episodes every Wednesday in February.

Earlier this week, Lam celebrated the release of her new single with a special pre-release show at Songbirds in Chattanooga, where she performed a full band set as Bella Lam and The Boys. The performance gave fans an early preview of the track and marked one of the first opportunities to hear the song live ahead of its official release.
“Take It Out On My Guitar” follows Lam’s previously released song “Tears In My Tequila,” co-written with Jason Blaine and Benji Cowart.
Lauded as “one of the fastest-rising emerging voices in country music” (Chattanooga Pulse), the 23-year-old multi-instrumentalist was born in Nashville and raised in West Tennessee. Lam performs well over 100 shows each year, including performances at the legendary Bluebird Cafe. She is currently on tour and has previously performed with artists including Candi Jenkins, Daniel Donato, and Strung Like A Horse. For more information, visit https://bellalammusic.com/
