(October 16, 2026) – Independent Asian American country artist Bella Lam has debuted at No. 91 this week on the MusicRow CountryBreakout Radio Chart with her latest single, “Bootfirst,” marking a significant milestone in her first national country radio campaign. With 40 station adds to date, the debut places Lam among the few Asian American independent country artists to debut on the chart and adds to a breakout year that has seen her audience grow to nearly 100,000 followers across social media. She continues to build momentum at Country radio, earning growing support from programmers nationwide following her recent Song of the Year win at the 2026 Josie Music Awards for her previous single, “Take It Out On My Guitar.”

“Bootfirst” is a song about diving in, taking chances and trusting yourself before the landing is guaranteed. The song was co-written by Lam with Nashville songwriters Jessica Cayne and Kayliann Lowe, produced by Lowell Reynolds, and recorded at Nashville’s legendary Blackbird Studio.

The momentum behind “Bootfirst” has extended beyond radio with Lam’s “Bootfirst” line dance, created with influencer Madi.Marie.K, gaining traction on social media and catching the attention of country superstar Lainey Wilson, who shared her reaction to the “Bootfirst” line dance, further amplifying the song’s connection within the Country music community.

A Nashville-born, West Tennessee-raised multi-instrumentalist, Lam continues to build her audience independently, performing more than 100 shows annually throughout the Southeast.
